How do you handle shipping charges

Our "normal" shipping method is UPS ground or USPS Priority, FOB one of nine Warehouses strategically located throughout the country, including West Coast and Central States locations.  The shipping location will be based on:

Type of products in your order
Availability of the product in proximity to your location
Proximity to the shipping address.

The shipping charges indicated on the computer system are generated by UPS and the USPS, based on weights in our database.  However, there may be variations.  For example, something can be very inexpensive but be a long length like an antenna.  8' antennas that are assessed a special "tube" charge from UPS, plus are charged as if they weigh 70 lbs when they only weigh a few pounds.  A large item, like a deck chair, may only weigh 10 lbs, but because of its size also will carry a 70 lb shipping cost.  This system is called Dimensional Weight and is used by all shipping carriers, (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)  Large heavy items like manifolds will, of course, cost more, due to their sheer weight.   If there is some large variation, we may contact you to approve the shipping costs.

Also, If you  feel that the shipping on your order seems high, please visit our help desk and submit a help ticket.  We will by happy to discuss shipping charges with you.   We do not add "handling charges" or charges for packing materials.   If your order is going overseas, is heavier or larger than UPS can handle or have requested expedited service, you will only be charged "actual shipping charges" - just what we have to pay on your behalf, not a penny more.

If you would like expedited shipping, like UPS 2-Day or UPS Overnight, please so indicate in the comments section of the order form.  UPS Next Day and UPS Second Day cannot be used for P.O. Box addresses. The no
